COS Advances in State Playoffs

The Giants Women's Volleyball team had their first playoff match on Saturday, November 17th. The Giants went on the road to face Merced in the North Regionals.

The Giants regular season momentum carried over into this matchup as they swept the Blue Devils in tightly contested games by scores of 25-16, 25-23, and 25-23. Christa Pilgrim had a big game for the Giants as she scored 15 points while also adding 12 kills. Madison Sousa had a big day defensively as she registered 4 blocks in this matchup.

Pilgrim's performance earned her State Athlete of the Week by the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA).
