The COS men's and women's swimming and diving team won the overall conference championship this year and COS Head Coach Ally Briano was named conference coach of the year.
The men's team were the highest point winner winning the conference championship and the women finished third. But, COS' overall score was higher than any other team at the meet. "I am proud of how our team competed," said Briano, "we had multiple swimmers produce their life time bests."
Individual champions for the COS women's team was Andi Ross (100 freestyle) and Emily Helpio (100 breast stroke). For the men Jimmy Koster won the 200 freestyle and the 100 fly, Zach O'Mara won the 100IM, and Jed Scott won the 100 backstroke, 50 backstroke, and 200 backstroke. Jake Norman was the individual champion on the 3 meter diving board.
The men's team also broke the 200 freestyle relay and the 200 medley relay at the meet.
"It was a great first year and I am proud of the kids. I am looking forward to having our program take the next step" said Briano.
