Here is a quick recap to keep up with some of our former COS Giants:
Dylan Lee - Fresno State Baseball, Senior Pitcher: Dylan has appeared in 13 games for the Bulldogs and is 2-2 with a 1.37 ERA this season. He is holding the batters he has faced this season to a .167 batting average.
Tyler Beardsley – Sacramento State Baseball, Senior Pitcher: Tyler owns a 0.43 ERA for the Hornets and is 4-0 on the year with 5 saves. Tyler has only given up one earned run on the season thus far.
Blake Edmonson – Sacramento State Baseball, Junior Outfielder: The former male Giant of the Year is currently batting .250 on the year including 4 RBI's and 4 stolen bases. Edmonson has been earning more and more playing time after being a reserve at the beginning of the season.
Ross Feely – Bellevue (NE.) Baseball, Senior 2B: Ross is currently hitting .356 for the Bruins and has drove in 15 runs. He is teammates with former COS Giant Leland Tilley at Bellvue who are currently ranked #4 in the NAIA.
Leland Tilley – Bellevue (NE.) Baseball, Pitcher: Leland is currently 6-1 on the season for the Bruins and owns an ERA of 2.70. Leland also has six saves on the year.
Dillon Kelly – Chico State Baseball, Junior Catcher: The former Central Valley Conference MVP is currently hitting .360 for the Wildcats. Dillon has also hit 3 home runs on the year and drove in 22 runs. Chico State owns a record of 23-9.
Deajah Stevens – University of Oregon Track and Field, Sophomore Sprinter: Stevens is a part of the Ducks 4x100 relay team that is second fastest in Oregon history thus far. The former women's 200m and 400m state champion for COS was a part of the women's indoor national championship this year for Oregon and contributed with strong performances in the 200m, 400m, 4x100, and 4x400 relay teams.
Raul Alvarez – Midland University Football, Junior Quarterback – Raul threw for 2054 yards for the Warriors as well as 13 touchdowns in his first season at Midland. Raul completed 64% of his passes. Alvarez is joined at Midland by former COS teammate and offensive lineman Aaron Wynn.
Brantley Bynum – San Francisco State Men's Basketball, Junior Forward: Bynum averaged 6 points and 3 rebounds per game while starting 19 out of 27 games. Bynum scored in double digits in eight games.
Corissa Turley – Portland University Women's Basketball, Junior Guard – Turley averaged 5.6 points per game as a reserve player for the division one Pilots. Turley posted a career high 18 points against Loyola Marymount on March 3rd.
Hannah Ramirez – Fresno Pacific Women's Basketball, Junior Guard – Ramirez averaged 7.8 points and 5.8 rebounds for the Sunbirds. Hannah started 20 out of 25 games and hit 38 three pointers on the year. Ramirez hit a game winning three point basket with four seconds left to help lift the Sunbirds over Concordia University by one point on February 6th.
Vanessa Mancera – Hawaii-Hilo Women's Basketball, Junior Guard – Mancera started 20 out of the Vulcans 23 games at point guard and averaged nearly six point and three rebounds per game. Vanessa scored a career high of 15 points on February 27th against Azusa Pacific.
Yesenia Silva – BYU Cross Country and Track and Field, Junior Distance Runner – Yesenia took sixth place in the 5000k MPSF indoor track and field championships with a time of 16:36. The former women's Giant of the Year also placed 5th in the BYU Autum Classic with a time of 17:35 in the 5K.
