COS Volleyball Weekly October 15
Women's Volleyball Weekly Update:
The Giants Women's Volleyball team had 2 home matches this past week. The first one came against the Taft College Cougars on Wednesday. This was a back and forth game as the Cougars won 2 of the first 3 sets but the Giants were able to come back and win the next 2 sets to come out on top with the match victory. The final set scores were 25-12, 24-26, 23-25, 25-13, and 15-2.
Christa Pilgrim had a big game for the Giants as she led the team with 20 points and 18 kills. Cassidy Dolin added 3 blocks. Erin Fujitani led the Cougars with 12 points.
The next match of the week was against The Cerro Coso Coyotes on Friday. The Giants added to their win streak as they swept the Coyotes with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, and 25-17. Emily Soto led the team with 10 points and 8 kills for the Giants.
The Giants record moved to 13-7 and they have won their last 6 matches. Their next match will be on the road against West Hills Coalinga on Wednesday, October 17th at 6:00 p.m.
